privacy policy
We are committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of our visitors and recognise the importance of safeguarding the information we collect. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit drinkbesa.co.uk (the "Site").
Besa does not currently sell products directly through the Site. Our products are available through third-party retailers, including Amazon. This policy covers information collected when you browse the Site, sign up for our mailing list, or otherwise interact with us directly.
Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect information about the pages you view, what site or search term referred you to us, and how you interact with our content. We refer to this as "Device Information."
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
Cookies, small data files placed on your device, often including an anonymous identifier. For more detail on the cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy, or visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Log files, which track actions on the Site and collect data including IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
Web beacons, tags, and pixels, electronic files used to record how you browse the Site.
When you sign up for our mailing list, enter a competition, or contact us directly, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, date of birth (for age verification), and any details included in your message to us. We refer to this as "Contact Information."
When we talk about "Personal Information" in this policy, we mean both Device Information and Contact Information.
Age Verification
As a website for an alcoholic beverage brand, we ask visitors to confirm they are of legal drinking age before accessing certain content. We collect a date of birth for this purpose and retain it only as required to demonstrate compliance with age-verification obligations.
How do we use your personal information?

Send newsletters, product updates, and marketing communications, where you've opted in;
Respond to enquiries or requests you send us; and
Run competitions or promotions you've entered.
We use Device Information to:

We share your Personal Information with third parties who help us operate the Site and our marketing, including:

Do not track
There is currently no consistent industry standard for how sites should respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. We do not currently alter our data collection practices when we detect one.

If you are a UK resident, under UK GDPR you have the right to:
access the personal data we hold about you;
correct inaccurate or incomplete data;

We process your information on the basis of your consent (marketing communications, non-essential cookies) or our legitimate interests (improving the Site, understanding our audience).
Please note your information may be transferred outside the UK, including to the US and Australia, where Besa also operates. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent UK GDPR-recognised protections.
Data retention
We retain Contact Information for as long as you remain subscribed to our mailing list, or until you ask us to delete it. Age verification data is retained only as long as legally required.
